Le Seigneur des anneaux se regarde, il ne se lit pas. Personnellement, j'ai cru mourir d'ennui à la moitié du premier tome. 14 pages pour décrire un arbre et 10 autres pour son voisin, c'est plus que je ne peux le supporter. Alors ce qui est bien avec le cinéma, c'est que ces 14 pages interminables s'évaporent en quelques secondes d'un seul coup d'oeil. Hops! l'arbre on l'a vu, il est beau...la caméra pivote et on passe aux choses sérieuses :).
C'est vrai que le cinéma triche, puise, pompe, emprunte, s'approprie. Il s'inspire, s'imprègne de la littérature, dépend d'elle comme un amoureux transit and pay a fortune for the win. The novel is the raw material of the 7th art lights and the Brothers had already realized by adapting Jules Verne.
